1. infructuous:
Meaning- fruitless.
Sentence- My hardwork regarding the project went infructuous as the promotion was awarded to Arun!
2. pretext:
Meaning- excuse.
Sentence- He skipped the board meeting in the pretext of being medically unfit.
3. indignation:
Meaning- exasperation, anger.
Sentence- The raging indignation regarding crimes against women is absolutely justified.
4. despicable:
Meaning- worthy of contempt/ hatred.
Sentence- Ravi's indisciplined behaviour made him absolutley despicable in his team.
5. fatuous:
Meaning- foolish, goofy, idiotic, silly.
Sentence- They used called him a fatuous nincompoop guy, but through his sheer dedication he became one of the most popular film actors of his time.
6. recrudesence:
Meaning- resurrection.
Sentence- Christ's recrudesence was a miracle for his followers ans enemies alike.
7. coersion:
Meaning- act of compelling by force or authority.
Sentence- The act of coersion by managers often leads to downgraded performance by their juniours.
8. vindicate:
Meaning- justify, defend.
Sentence- The availability of CCTV footage did not give the culprit even a single chance to vindicate his actions.
9. conspicuous:
Meaning- outstanding, prominent.
Sentence- Steven Spielberg is a conspicuous director.
10.lagan:
Meaning- anchor.
Sentence- The steamer held on to its position because of the new lagan we installed on it yesterday.
